About Bernardston

The Town of Bernardston Massachusetts was founded in 1762 and is located in Franklin County. The town is reported to be one of the first in the commonwealth to begin commercial production of maple syrup and sugar.

Bernardston contains about 3000 year round residents.

Those visitors and residents alike are encouraged to visit the Bernardston Historical Society Museum for a piece of town history and there is also the Crumpin Fox Golf Club as well as Falls River for those who enjoy fishing for trout and some popular swimming holes.
